Kirjiet fi Munxar

A small village on Gozo’s south-west coast, above Xlendi Bay. Munxar is quiet and residential, and it is where a good many of the people who work in Xlendi actually live.

Munxar is a residential village that happens to sit above one of Gozo’s busiest summer spots. That is a good arrangement: Xlendi’s restaurants and swimming are close enough to walk to and far enough that the summer noise stays down there. The village itself has little beyond basics. The walk down to the bay is easy; the walk back up is not, and most people drive it. Winter is very quiet, as Xlendi largely closes. A car is needed.

Propjetà fi Munxar

Apartments and maisonettes make up much of the newer stock, with farmhouses and older houses in and around the village. Some properties take the sea and valley views. Holiday letting competes for the best of it in summer. Prices are more moderate than in Xlendi itself for much the same access.
