A quiet southern village between Zurrieq and Siggiewi, close to the Blue Grotto and the temples at Hagar Qim. Small, traditional and rural, with very little passing through it.

The lifestyle

Qrendi is small, quiet and rural, and life here happens locally or in the car. There are basic shops, a square and a church; anything more is in Zurrieq or Siggiewi. Buses are infrequent. The village sits close to two of the most-visited sites in the south, so the roads towards Hagar Qim and the Blue Grotto carry visitor traffic in season, though the village core stays out of it. Feast week is loud and everybody takes part. For families and for anybody who wants to be left alone, it works well.

Property in Qrendi

Predominantly older stone housing — townhouses, houses of character and the occasional farmhouse — with maisonettes and some newer apartments at the edges. Outdoor space, whether a yard or a roof terrace, is usual. Older properties may need modernising and can be cold in winter. Unfurnished lettings dominate for houses.
