One of the Three Villages, and among the most established addresses inland. Attard is green by Maltese standards, with the San Anton gardens at its heart, and mixes old village houses with comfortable modern residential streets.
The lifestyle
Attard is settled and unhurried, with an older village centre and newer residential areas around it. It is one of the more sought-after inland addresses, which shows in prices. There is not much nightlife and shopping is everyday rather than extensive, so evenings out mean driving. Main roads on the edges are busy at peak times. It suits people who want a house and a garden in a quiet place and do not mind the coast being a drive away.
Property in Attard
Strong on houses: villas, townhouses and houses of character, alongside maisonettes and a smaller number of apartments. Outdoor space, courtyards and gardens are far more common than nearer the sea. The older stock varies widely in condition and modernisation. Long unfurnished lets are frequent, reflecting a tenant base that tends to stay.
