The smallest village in Gozo, in the north-west between Zebbug and Gharb, above a narrow inlet on the coast. Very quiet and almost entirely rural.

The lifestyle

Ghasri is tiny and there is very little in it. Daily life means driving to Victoria or Zebbug for anything at all, and the ferry is a long way off. What it offers is quiet and countryside, and the inlet at Wied il-Ghasri, which is worth the walk down the steps. Winter is silent. Property comes up rarely, so anybody set on the village should expect to wait. It suits buyers looking for seclusion rather than renters looking for a home base.

Property in Ghasri

A very small market — farmhouses, old village houses, occasionally something newly built. Turnover is low and choice is minimal. Outdoor space is normal. Long lets are rare; this is predominantly a buyer’s market and a slow one.
