The lifestyle
Gudja is a settled, traditional village where daily life is local and Maltese-speaking. It is quieter than Luqa next door and has more character than most of the airport belt. Aircraft are audible depending on the runway and the street. Shops and services are village-scale; Luqa, Tarxien and the Zejtun area cover the rest. A car is needed. The commute to the harbour towns is long at peak times. For families wanting a proper village at a low price, it is one of the more appealing options in the south.
Property in Gudja
The old core holds townhouses and houses of character, some with courtyards and wells, in varying condition. Around them are maisonettes and newer apartments. Outdoor space is normal. Prices sit well below the north for the same accommodation. Unfurnished lettings are common for houses.
