A large hilltop village in eastern Gozo, agricultural, spread out and among the more self-contained places on the island. Nadur is quiet, green in parts and close to the beaches on the east coast.
The lifestyle
Nadur is spread over a hill and its surrounding farmland, so it feels less like a village centre and more like a scattering of houses with one. It is very quiet, and in winter extremely so. Everyday shopping means Victoria, and everything else means driving. It suits people who actively want rural isolation and space; anyone who wants to walk to a café will find it a long way to one. The Mgarr ferry is close, which helps if crossings are frequent.
Property in Nadur
Strong on the older and larger: converted farmhouses, houses of character and townhouses, often with courtyards, land or pools. Some apartments in the village. Prices for space are among the lowest anywhere covered here, though restoration and running costs on old stone properties are real. Long unfurnished lets are common.
