A large, established town beyond the Three Cities, with an old core, a big church and a great deal of ordinary residential housing around it. Zabbar is affordable, well served and thoroughly local.

The lifestyle

Zabbar is a Maltese town where people live rather than visit, with little that is aimed at foreigners and correspondingly little English-speaking bubble. The centre is busy; the residential streets around it are quiet. It is well away from the main business areas, and the drive north through the harbour bottlenecks is slow at peak times. For anyone working in the south or the Three Cities it is well placed and good value.

Property in Zabbar

Apartments and maisonettes in quantity, with townhouses and houses of character in the older parts. Prices are among the lower ones on the island and space is correspondingly generous. Older properties range from restored to untouched. Unfurnished lets are common, reflecting a local tenant base rather than a transient one.
